Legal # Accessibility statement For hepius.software and the other domains of HEPIUS e.U. that redirect to it · Version: 8 November 2026 ## In short This website is built to be usable by everyone, including people who use a screen reader, keyboard only, magnification, or who need less motion. Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard referenced by EN 301 549. HEPIUS e.U. is not legally obliged to publish this statement; we do so because we hold our own website to the standard we recommend to clients. ## 1. What the site does for you - Complete without JavaScript: every page is delivered as finished HTML. Scripts only add motion and convenience; links, disclosures and dialogs work natively. - Screen readers: one heading outline per page, every section is a named region, decorative graphics and animations are hidden from assistive technology, images carry text alternatives, dialogs return focus to where you came from, and status changes are announced. - Keyboard: every control is reachable in reading order with a visible focus style; a skip link leads to the content; the Escape key closes dialogs. - Motion: the site follows your system's reduced-motion setting. Independently of it, the "Pause animations" button in the footer stops everything that moves. The customer-quote carousel has its own pause control and pauses while you hover or focus it. - Reading: text contrast meets at least 4.5:1, text scales to 200 % and reflows to narrow screens without horizontal scrolling, touch targets are at least 24 px, and the site is available in German and English with a switch in the footer. - Privacy: no cookies, no tracking and no third-party content without your action, so no banner stands between you and the page. ## 2. How we test Every change is checked automatically before it is published: the axe-core rule set for WCAG 2.2 A and AA runs on every page, with scripts enabled and disabled, together with tests of the dialogs, the pause control, focus handling and target sizes. We also measure with Lighthouse, where the site scores 100 for accessibility. Automated checks find only part of the barriers people meet, so we additionally review changes by hand with a keyboard and a screen reader. ## 3. Known limitations - Booking a call: "Show free slots" loads Google's appointment page in a dialog. That page is provided by Google and is outside our control. If it does not work for you, write to us or call us; email and phone are shown in the contact section. - Moving graphics: the illustrations behind some cards move slowly. They are decorative, hidden from assistive technology, and stop under reduced motion or with the pause button. - Formal audit: the site has not yet been audited by an independent body. This statement describes our own testing. ## 4. Report a barrier If anything on this site is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us through the contact section at the end of the home page, by email or by phone. Describe the page and what happened; we answer within a few working days and fix what we can. You may also use the booking link there for a call. ## 5. Enforcement If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Austrian complaints body for web accessibility, the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), Sensengasse 1, 1090 Vienna, www.ffg.at/barrierefreiheit , which handles complaints under the Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz. For private companies the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs offers conciliation under the Federal Disability Equality Act (Bundes-Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz). Back to the home page
